My dog recently died from liver and kidney failure. I would like to know the cause.?

Suspected poisoning of my dog. My dog was healthy last week, then became slow moving, and seemed to be in pain. She was in her menstruation period, which suddenly stopped the day she became ill. She became immobile on the second day, and the vet could not find a cause. She had to be carried outside to pee, and each time she was picked up, cried in pain. I am suspect of my neighbor who has chickens and may use rat baits. My dog is permanently locked up in our yard and unless the rat poison was fed to her, she had not chance of coming into contact with it. She has spent the last three days at the vets in an attempt to get her well. This morning she seemed to improve, but tonight, she was peeing blood and her skin was turning yellow. She was in pain so we rushed down to see her, only to find out we were too late. Is this a case of poisoning? She was only 9 months old and very healthy until 4 days ago.
