What type of caterpillar is this?

ok so outside theirs a black fuzzy caterpillar, its pretty much all black, except it has a dark brown stripe in the center. I tried to search for them on the internet and all i came close to was the wooly bear. By the way i live in milwaukee wisconsin. so now what im wondering is, does it bite, sting, etc.? also is it gonna turn into a moth or erfly.
