What is so special about the shu uemura eyelash curler?

I watch a ton of makeup videos on youtube and I notice most of the mascara related ones they use the shu uemura eyelash curler. It's 19 bucks plus tax and shipping, would probably come to about 28 dollars where I live... Why not just use Revlon's eyelash curler, I have one and it's awesome, so what is so special about the shu uemura curler that people are paying so much for it, it must be something!
