Pawn stars - How can an item change in colour?

The Pawn shop and people are real but the show itself is fake. Watch the show and notice very few people inside. Go there on any non filming day and see how crowded it is. You'll be lucky to see any of the shows stars there, or they are hiding in back. On the show they are all you see doing the buying and selling. I went there to sell an item and their was a line inside to go to the buyer and it was not the Stars. And what Pawn Shop gives 50% to buy an item? Every Pawn Shop I've been to offer 10%.
